Introduction:

Summa Theologica is a Latin phrase that translates to "Summary of Theology". It is the title of a work by Thomas Aquinas (1225–1274), a scholastic theologian and Doctor of the Church.

The work is a compendium, summary, or manual of theology. It focuses on religious matters related to the Catholic faith's doctrine and organization, the nature of the Christian triune God, and the Sacraments and virtues. The work also seeks to explain how Christ makes it possible for humans to reconcile with the Divine.

Summa Theologica is divided into four parts and consists of: 38 tracts, 631 questions, about 3000 articles, 10,000 objections and their answers.

The complete edition of the work was published in five volumes in 1911 and translated into English by the Fathers of the Dominican Province.
